 Homeowners who use their property to make a quick buck during the Rugby World Cup could be forced to pick up the tab if their home is damaged or property stolen.

 Ticketing details for next year's Rugby World Cup have been unveiled at a news conference in Auckland this afternoon.

Applications for tickets to rugby's showpiece tournament will open later this month, April 27, which will mark 500 days until the start of the tournament.

Businesses will have to pay up to $2621 per person, per game if they want to host clients at Eden Park during next year's Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

Cup organisers have defended charging up to $420,000 for corporate boxes at next year's tournament, and expect businesses to "clamour" to book them.

Customs officials intercepted a batch of more than 1000 trademark-infringing T-shirts at Auckland last month. The tops were found in a shipping container during a search of a ship, which had sailed from China, Customs spokeswoman Bonnie Hutchins said.

Economic Development Ministry spokeswoman Emilia Mazur said the National Enforcement Unit was investigating, and the T-shirts had been seized. "An investigation is under way with the view of prosecuting those involved," Mazur said.
